General Music Classes

Our music classes are designed to offer children quality music education in a setting that encourages experiencing and expressing God’s love.  Children PK – 5th grades have classes specifically designed to be age appropriate and to complement the HCPSS music content standards.  Classes include musicianship, instruments, games, and singing through faith based and positive music.

We are expanding our class options in our toddler, pre-school, and elementary children’s music. Here is a list of the classes available in the fall. Come make music with us!

Learning Center Musikgarten ® Class

If your child is enrolled in Bethany Learning Center, you may enrich your child’s learning experience by registering for BLC’s Musikgarten ® class taught by Musikgarten ® certified teacher, Mercy Dion. This class is only open to children enrolled in Bethany Learning Center. For more information on class dates and cost, please email [email protected].

Parent and Child Music Class

The Parent and Child Music Class is finally back to our program this year.  Although this class is best suited for 2’s and 3’s with a participating parent, we welcome babies with participating parents as well. This is a great opportunity to connect with other parents of young children while exploring early musical concepts with your child. Classes meet in the upper education wing of Bethany Church on Wednesdays from 5:45 pm – 6:30 pm.

Preschool, Kindergarten and 1st Grade Music Class

Bethany is excited to announce our retooled music class for 4-, 5-, and 6-year-olds. Classes meet in the upper education wing of Bethany Church on Wednesdays from 5:45 pm – 6:30 pm. Using the Growing in Grace children’s music curriculum, our theme for the year is “God Loves the World.” Children will explore concepts in rhythm, tempo, pitch, and dynamics within the context of folk and worship music from around the world.

Kids Worship and Music Building

Bethany’s older elementary music class welcomes children in 2nd – 5th grades on Wednesdays, from 5:45 pm – 6:30 pm.  Using the Growing in Grace children’s music curriculum, the theme for this year is “God Loves the World.” Students enjoy a variety of music activities that enhance their understanding of the fundamentals of music.  Students can play fun instruments such as ukulele and boom whackers, featuring folk and worship music from around the world. This class is specifically designed to be age appropriate and complement the HCPSS music content standards.
